چکیده

The HH 34 superjet shows a steep velocity decrease (from ∼ 500 to ∼ 100 km s−1) over a distance of ∼ 2 pc on either side of the central source. We explore whether or not this behaviour could be interpreted as evidence for a slow “turning on” of the ejection velocity of the jet, and find that this is indeed possible, but only for an ejection velocity that has had a dramatic growth over the last ∼ 104 yr, and is just about to stabilize within the next 4000 yr. We argue that such a time-variability is somewhat unlikely. We then explore a second scenario, in which the slowing down of the HH 34 superjet is modeled as the result of the interaction of a fragmented jet with the surrounding environment. We find that for parameters appropriate for HH 34, this model does appear to reproduce the observed slowing down of the superjet in a natural way. We therefore conclude that the kinematical properties of the HH 34 superjet are most likely to be the result of environmental drag on the propagation of individual jet knots, resulting from the fragmentation of a time-variable, precessing jet.

The Influence of HH Type Steel Microstructure on the Distortion Behavior of Grate Bar Part in the Indurating Machine of Pelletizing Plant

Grate bar is an industrial part which is used in the indurating furnace of an iron ore pelletizing plant. Steel part ofthe grate bars are expected to have high resistance to atmospheric oxidation because of its contact with hot gases(up to 920 °C) during the normal operation of the process. In this study, different samples from several sections ofused grate bars with apparent ...

بررسی پدیده اسلمینگ در قایق پرنده

Prediction of hydrodynamic loads during water impact is of great significance in the structural design of flying vehicles. Also the importance of the slam force of waves on the members of offshore structures cannot be overemphasized. No theoretical tool is available to handle this complicated phenomenon exactly and the experimental procedures in the laboratory are both time-consuming and expens...

The Role of Fakr Razi’s Theological Presuppositions his Interpretation of the verses about Determinism and Free Will

Abstract: According to the prophetic traditions Interpreting Qur’anic verses based on personal opinions is one of the important points that should be avoided. One of its examples is involving personal theological opinions and principles -which are merely unrevised personal inferences- in interpretation of Quran. Fakhr Razi, according to the Ash'arites, has a deterministic view.  This is quite ...

Theoretical and Experimental Study of Falling- Cylinder Rheometer

The present study attempted deriving and solving the falling- cylinder governing equations for power law model non-Newtonian fluids. Based on this theoretical study, a novel falling- cylinder rheometer (FCR) was designed and constructed to measure the Theological properties of non-Newtonian fluids. Different falling cylinders with predesigned densities were used to determine the apparent viscos...

Identifying and Analyzing Stop and Go Traffic based on Asymmetric Theory of Driving Behavior in Acceleration and Deceleration

Stop and go traffic that leads to oscillate traffic flow frequently is observed on congestion flow. Unexpected reasons such as lane – changing maneuvers, lower speeds of leader vehicle and moving bottleneck cause stop and go traffic and amplifying delay and environment impacts. Stop and go traffic exactly can’t be modeled by traffic models, and also car following models based on kinematic flow ...
